Since both me and my boyfriend is quite fair and sensitive to the sun I always pack a lot of sun protection when going on beach holiday. It’s a great time to try different brands out, saying that I always feel I have to finish one bottle before starting on the next. I know, a bit weird. This time around I tried these:
Sisley Fluide Body Sun Cream Spf 30 : Great light texture and easy to apply. Is meant to give a long-lasting and luminous tan. I really liked this product, it is a bit expensive though. It’s yours for £86 and I give it 5/5.
Dermalogica Waterblock Solar Spray Spf 30 : I like a spray to have when you are on the beach cause it’s easy to re-apply. This one is very light almost like a water texture. It’s very waterproof, so great for people that like to swim a lot. My only problem with this one was that I did find it a bit greasy, I did fell like washing my hands after rubbing it in to my skin. But great sun protection. This product is about £ 24. I would give it a 3/5
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Spf 50 Sun Defense Stick : This is a stick that is great for areas like the nose or the lips. Good to have in your bag for touching up during the day. Also great if you have problem with pigmentation in some areas on the skin, it is easy to apply and has a very high cover of Spf 50. The price is £ 15 and I would give it a 4/5
Eau Thermale Avene Spf 20 : This is a light moisturizer with spf 20 for the face and a sensitive skin, it has soothing and anti-irritating properties. It’s also paraben free. I really liked this one, I used it in the end of my holiday when my skin had been in the sun for a couple of days. The only thing was that my skin is on the dry side and I did find that sometime it was not enough hydration. The price is £ 10.50 and I give it 5/5
Nivea Children’s Pocketsize Spf 50 : Great pocket size, good for traveling and to have in your bag to touch up.
Creamy and none-stickey texture. Price £ 4.99 and I give it 5/5
Shiseido Very High Sun Protection Lotion Spf 50 : This is a cream for face and body, it’s very water- resistant. It was really heavy in texture and difficult to massage into the skin and the result is a slightly white color to the skin. Felt like a japanese tourist with a lot of spf in the face. The price is £ 26 and I give it 2/5
I also had two after sun products with me:
Dr Hauschka After Sun Lotion : Cooling and smoothing, does everything you expect it too. I really like this. The price is £ 13.95 and I give it a 5/5
Aloe Vera Gel Holland And Barrett : Soothing and moisturizing gel. Not very cooling. The price is £ 6.49 and I give it a 4/5
